On average, it takes four hours to assemble Nybble's frame. No soldering is required for the basic functionalities of Nybble. There are several moments when you need to be extremely careful to plug in the cords in the right order and direction.

How beginner-friendly is the process of setting up the software and playing with Nybble?

You need two 14500 Li-ion rechargeable 3.7V batteries and a smart charger. Two batteries can provide 45 mins of playing time.
Be careful with fake batteries! Don't trust batteries that claim a capacity larger than 850mAh. We have been using EBL Li-ion batteries and they work well. If you are in the US, you can buy the EBL batteries or the battery + charger combo from Walmart.
Note that Nybble doesn't come with batteries.

Can't wait to develop projects with Nybble

Thank you for the work you put into the project and for sharing it with the world, even under adverse conditions (GFW, visa). I am looking forward to developing projects with Nybble and sharing. I’m excited to put a Lidar on Nybble’s back and have him navigate around my house with SLAM algorithm.
