The hardware components used to enable Bittle's lifelike legged movements
-
ESP32 microcontroller with Wifi & Bluetooth
Bittle X is powered by BiBoard, a four-legged robot ESP32 microcontroller board developed by Petoi. With a high-performance processor, larger memory and storage, Wifi and Bluetooth, it supports multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) Multi-legged robots with up to 12 servos. An audio function is also included. -
Battery
A Li-ion battery pack for about one hour of continuous walking
-
Servo motor
- a controllable angle of 270 degrees
- eight plastic servos to actuate Bittle's walking joins, another one for head panning.
-
Puzzle-like Body Frame
- interlocking frame as a 3D puzzle with very few screws involved
- on average, it takes about one hour to finish the assembly

Testimonials, Reviews
I am in love with Petoi robots because they are full-programmable, very fast and have lots of endurance in running.
Tinkergen has hundreds of young learners of coding and robotics using Petoi Bittle. Our students learn to program Bittle actions and tricks to amaze their friends and families. Our teachers also like the endless possibilities of teaching with Bittle.
Our Robotics & AI Lab is using Petoi legged robots for robotics research and kid robotics camps. They are are fun, agile, easy to run experiments, and affordable. We used to use bigger quadruped robots, but they were so clumsy to control, required a big area to run.
I’m assembling Argo (my Bittle’s name), and starting with Arduino in Linux. I MUST make my compliments !!! Really a good job! I can’t imagine how many hours did you spent for the Code and for projecting the body of Bittle.
In Italian we say: OTTIMO LAVORO !
