Design Your Quaddle — Your Colors Could Become the Real Thing

We just opened up something fun ahead of our Kickstarter launch: you can design your own color scheme for Quaddle, our open-source, programmable robot kit — and it's not just a mockup exercise. We already took a color scheme made in the tool and 3D-printed a real Quaddle to match it, colors and all. If your color scheme is one of the ones we pick, yours could be next.

👉 Try the Color Designer

What's the prize? If your color scheme is selected, it becomes an official Quaddle production colorway — manufactured and sold to customers everywhere, with you credited as the designer where possible.

How it works

Design your colors. Head to qd.petoi.com, pick your colors, and preview your color scheme on Quaddle in 360 degrees. Takes about two minutes.

Get votes. Every submission gets a "Submit Vote" button and a shareable link. Share your color scheme — anyone who clicks your link and votes is voting for your color scheme, wherever they found it.

How winners are picked. Two things matter:

  1. Community votes. Similar color schemes may be grouped together for voting purposes, so a good idea doesn't lose simply because multiple people submitted similar versions. Within a winning group, the single color scheme with the most votes is the one that wins.
  2. Production feasibility. Selected color schemes must also be viable for actual production. Our team will review feasibility before final winners are confirmed.

Final winners will be selected based on both community support and production feasibility.

More than one color scheme can make it into production. Multiple color schemes may be selected for production if they receive strong community support and pass our production feasibility review.

The real prize: seeing your color scheme come to life. The most exciting outcome isn't a free robot — it's seeing your color scheme become a real Quaddle production colorway. Selected color schemes may be manufactured and released as official Quaddle color options, with the designer credited where possible.

Who can participate? Anyone can design and vote — no restrictions.

Timeline. Voting is open now. Winners will be announced no later than 21 days after our Kickstarter campaign concludes, before we begin injection molding the corresponding parts.

Using your color scheme. By submitting a color scheme, you allow Petoi to use selected color schemes for Quaddle production and marketing. Selected designers will be credited where possible.

We built Quaddle to be something you shape, not just something you buy — this custom robot color designer is one small way to prove it. Have fun with it, and we can't wait to see what you come up with.
