Meet Quaddle - Petoi's do-it-all desk robot dog, and an open-source quadruped you build in an afternoon and reprogram for years. Start with drag-and-drop blocks, then grow into Python, C++, and ROS. Its four servos give it real four-legged movement: it walks, strafes, spins, talks back, and reacts to your touch. One robot that scales from a kid's first STEM project to a researcher's test bench.
What is Quaddle?
Quaddle is a programmable physical AI robot kit - a four-legged(qudruped) robot dog you assemble yourself and control with code. Unlike wheeled robots, it uses four servo motors to walk, turn, and self-balance like an animal. Retro-mechanical legs drive a full knee lift from a single motor, keeping the kit compact and affordable. It runs on Petoi's open-source OpenCat firmware and ships in three models - Builder, Buddy, and Scout - from $99.
Three Quaddles. Pick where you want to start.
Every model can be built from a kit, programmed in Block coding, Python, C++, and runs on open-source firmware OpenCat. Each one adds more on top of the last - reserve now and choose your exact model at launch.

Why Quaddle
Most Robots Wow You For a Day, Then Collect Dust
Quaddle keeps surprising you. It talks, reacts to touch, and never stops being customizable and hackable from your desk to a research bench.
Legs Reinvented
A retro-mechanical design drives full knee lifts with a single motor - slashing cost, boosting battery life, and making advanced walking easy to hack.
World's first 4-servo omnidirectional Quadruped
Trots, glides sideways, and does crisp in-place spins - without piling on joints and actuators.
Built to take a hit
100+ resilient motions on an adaptable, research-ready platform built for real-world challenges.

Chat with it
Open-domain AI conversation - ask it almost anything (Buddy & Scout models).
Touch it
Tap Quaddle and it reacts with movements and expressions. Control it from a free mobile app.

Make it yours
Snap on LEGO-compatible blocks, design, print & attach your own 3D-printed parts to personalize Quaddle's look.
No code needed to start
Teach It a Trick with Your Hands
Physically guide Quaddle through any movement tap to record, tap to replay. No code, no app required.
✅ Learn & Replay available on Buddy and Scout
✅ Start with simple tricks, end up mastering robotics without realizing it
✅ Quaddle grows with you - desk toy today, research platform tomorrow
Code it your way
From drag-and-drop blocks to C++ and ROS
Drag blocks on an iPad or Android tablet. Graduate to Python when you're ready. AI helps you along the way.
✅ Block coding → MicroPython → Python → C++ (Arduino IDE) → ROS
✅ Built on OpenCat, cited in 20+ academic papers
✅ Free curricula for hands-on physical AI education — classrooms and self-learners.
Smarter Robot with sensors
Quaddle Scout
The most advanced model for embodied robotics
✅ Senses light, objects, and gestures, then decides how to move.
✅ Compatible with an optional AI vision module for richer perception.
